Tasks of the department:

– Receiving the registrations of dangerous substances and dangerous preparations, revising the documentation - the Safety Data Sheets - sent in, and also the classification of the chemicals, confirming the registrations, and forwarding the Safety Data Sheets of the accepted registrations to the Health Toxicological Information Service

– Compilation and continuous actualization of the Hungarian List of Dangerous Substances on the basis of the registered substances

– Receiving the registrations of biocidal active substances and biocidal products, asking in the Safety Data Sheets, preparing the lists of biocidal active substances and of biocidal products, and forwarding them with the Safety Data Sheets to the Health Toxicological Information Service

– Taking part in the drafting and actualization of regulations on chemical safety

– Taking part in the training and postgraduate education activity of the National Institute of Chemical Safety, providing opportunities for professional consultancy

– Taking part in the work of the NPHMOS (National Public Health and Medical Officers' Service) institutes and of the Chemical Safety Groups, and answering the questions and information requests of the NPHMOS institutes
